Latest IAJV newsletter

Hi all,

We are writing in regard to the current escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas. We would like to point you to various articles that give an alternative account to the mainstream media’s. This article includes a timeline of the events that led up to the current hostilities. Here’s a video interview on ABC News with Antony Loewenstein, who talked with Scott Bevan about the timing of the Israeli attacks in Gaza, ahead of the country’s elections early next year. This is an article by Noam Chomsky and others about who is doing the killing in Gaza. And this is an article by Rabbi Brant Rosen who argues that “this tragedy didn’t start with the Qassams.  It didn’t start with the election of Hamas. And it didn’t start with the “instability” that followed Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza.”

Activists in Australia will be organising emergency solidarity events with Gaza in the coming days and weeks. We encourage you to attend these events if they are in your city. Peter Slezak will be speaking at the rally in Melbourne on Friday the 23rd.
